Self-Determination
Indigenous peoples have the collective right to determine their development according to their own values and customary institutions.
The CHT Women Headman Karbari Network strengthens the leadership and dignity of indigenous women traditional leaders across the Chittagong Hill Tracts — protecting culture, advancing rights, and building inclusive community governance.
Formed by indigenous women Headmen and Karbaris, our Network promotes rights, leadership, cultural identity, and peacebuilding in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. We believe meaningful participation of women in customary governance is essential to protecting indigenous identity and human rights.
